Research and Planning: Initial Idea for Music Magazine
The Sub-genre that i am going to focus on is Indie/Rock. The audience that i am going to target is the younger generation with an age range of 17-25. I have researched such Music Magazines as NME and Kerrang which influenced me to do this genre as the artists involved were Main Steam which persuaded me to focus on this type of music. The artists involved in this type of magazine would be Kasabian, Kings Of Leon and Foo Fighters.

Research and Planning: Magazines and Institutions
IPC Media is the publishing company, which publishes NME. IPC Media publishes a wide range of audiences, from such magazines as gardening tips to music magazines. IPC Media also does one more music magazine other than NME, which is Uncut. Uncut is another popular magazine with a whole different audience, this means that this publishing company is quite a big company as they draw a lot of people into their magazines. Overall, IPC Media publishes over 60 magazines; the magazines have something for everyone as they appeal to men with such magazines as Nuts and Sporting Gun and women with magazines as Chat and Marie Claire.
Introducing Main task
Now that i have completed the Prelim task, i am now going to research and plan for the Main task. The Main task is to produce a Front cover, contents Page and a double page spread for a music magazine.
